The album was originally slated for a September 27 release. It was then pushed to September 29 before being left on hiatus. In the meantime, Kanye has been touring an unfinished version around the US, hosting listening sessions for the record. It was then scheduled to drop at midnight today, but Kanye delayed it slightly in order to finalise the mix of certain tracks. The finished album includes collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Clipse, Kenny G, Fred Hammond, and Ant Clemons, as well as his Sunday Service choir. It reflects his newfound commitment to religion. The rapper has been promoting the album through interviews with people like Zane Lowe. He is also releasing an IMAX ‘experience’ around the album. Listen to Jesus is King below.
