Kevin Abstract issues open call for producers on Brockhampton’s final album

‘Send beats for the last Brockhampton album ever’

Kevin Abstract is on the lookout for fresh, “up and coming” producers to work on Brockhampton’s seventh (and supposedly final) studio album, which is scheduled to arrive later this year.

Abstract originally announced that the follow-up to Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine will mark the end of the Brockhampton project back in March. In May, he also commented on the end of the group, writing: “We all love each other and we wanna continue making the best music we can. Everybody just getting a lil older and got a lot to say outside of group projects.”

Now, the rapper has issued an open call for beats to use on the group’s upcoming record. “Trying something different,” he writes in a tweet posted earlier this week. “Wanna give up and coming producers a chance cause we know how hard it gets out here to get ur work off the ground.”

“If you got something you love and you’d love to hear BH on it — send beats for the last Brockhampton album ever.”

On top of the call for beat submissions, Abstract has asked fans what already-existing songs they would like to hear the hip hop group freestyle over. “Let me know and we’ll record the song, shoot a video and release it one day,” he says.

Last month, Brockhampton confirmed that their new album will arrive “before the end of the year”. Abstract has also been teasing more material for his latest solo album, which will follow 2019’s Arizona Baby.
