In a recent tweet, the rapper reveals that his next solo album is set to arrive this year, though there aren’t many other details on the project just yet. Abstract’s last solo record, titled Arizona Baby, was released in 2019. American Boyfriend: A Suburban Love Story arrived three years earlier, in 2016, while he made his studio album debut with MTV1987 back in 2014. The news comes amid an already-busy year for the de facto leader of the hip hop group. As revealed by Abstract back in March, Brockhampton is also going to release another full-length project this year, which will apparently be the group’s final album (at least for the foreseeable future). “2 Brockhampton albums in 2021,” he wrote at the time, amid the Roadrunner rollout. “These will be our last.” View the (very brief) announcement of Kevin Abstract’s upcoming album below.
