The informal snippet of a track titled “Tulsa Jesus Freak” includes a caption nodding to the singer’s frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff. Since working on Lana’s last studio album, Norman Fucking Rockwell!, from 2019, Antonoff has also contributed music to her recently-released poetry album, Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass. “Salamander”, a poem from the 33-minute audiobook, was recited by the singer in another Instagram post last week (August 1). While it’s not 100% clear what project “Tulsa Jesus Freak” is a part of yet, it seems fairly likely that the song is from Lana Del Rey’s forthcoming album Chemtrails Over the Country Club, a title that was announced – along with a September release date – earlier this year.
