In a post to her ever-optimistic Instagram, the pop icon has announced she will be picking fans “to help out during this difficult time”. “So our world is going through such hard times right now,” she explains in the video, “and my sister just nominated me to help people, whether it’s with food, or I’m getting your child diapers, or whatever it is.” “DM me and I will help you out.” In the last couple of weeks, artists including Lil Nas X and Megan Thee Stallion have also stepped up to aid fans over social media, sending money to help them weather quarantine and potential job losses due to the spread of coronavirus. Others, including Rihanna, Kanye West, and Cardi B, have donated funds, meals, and medical supplies to benefit those who are most affected, both in terms of health and finances. Besides also donating, Charli XCX has outlined some causes for those that have the money to contribute, including food banks and homeless shelters, in her quarantine diary shared on Dazed.
