Several viral TikToks show teens using Tibetan singing bowls, candles, and crystals around an all-blue map of the US in an effort to ‘manifest’ Joe Biden’s presidential victory – to a backdrop of Johny Mercury's “The Power of Three”. Granted, it’s worth taking any talks of manifestation (i.e. if you think it, it will come) with a pinch of salt. But the trend underscores an overwhelming hope for the election to swing in Biden’s favour. A similar TikTok trend last week saw witches on the platform draw energy from the Halloween blue moon to perform a “Blue Wave” spell, allegedly to help “wash away the corruption and injustice and wickedness of Donald Trump and the Republican Party in a peaceful transition of power”.
