Among other panelists, the pair will discuss mass incarceration, wrongful convictions, and other problems surrounding the US justice system. Both Mill and Kardashian West have proven their interest in criminal justice reform before. Mill has vowed to “shine a light” on such issues since his release from prison in April, and is the subject of a documentary confronting the topic; Kardashian West surprised many by going to the White House in May, to request (successfully) that Alice Marie Johnson’s life sentence be dropped. She’s since expressed a wish to do the same for Chris Young, a 30-year-old serving life for drug possession. The summit will additionally feature artist and hip hop pioneer Fab 5 Freddy, and Get Out actress Allison Williams.
