However, the international run of shows was subsequently put on hold — along with the rest of our plans — due to coronavirus closures. Now, the rescheduled tour date has been pushed back once more, to 2022, due to the lingering threat of the virus. “While some parts of the world are moving quickly to open up, others are not yet ready,” reads a statement from the singer to fans. “So until we can confirm all global dates, we have to postpone The Chromatica Ball shows to the summer of 2022.” The world tour was initially announced in March last year, scheduled to run from July 25 to August 27, and spanning stadiums in Paris, London, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and New Jersey. The dates remained the same when it was postponed to 2021, though Variety notes that the specific dates for the newly-delayed shows are yet to be listed. Gaga herself hasn’t been grounded by the pandemic. Since performing a Chromatica medley alongside Ariana Grande at the 2020 VMAs, she’s sung the US national anthem in Washington, at the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and travelled to Italy to star in Ridley Scott’s glamorous Gucci murder film, House of Gucci. Gaga has also recently announced a tenth anniversary edition of Born This Way, while Donatella Versace has commemorated the anniversary with an overhaul of the singer’s iconic memorabilia. In case you need a reminder, Dazed has gathered some of Lady Gaga’s wildest outfits from the Born This Way era here. View the latest Chromatica Ball announcement below. Escape the algorithm!
