Now, the musician has floated the idea of linking up with Frank Ocean for a remix of the latter. The statement comes after a fan wrote on Twitter: “Good Days by SZA Ft. Frank Ocean would literally cure corona.” Responding on her Instagram stories, SZA said: “Imma ask lol.” While that’s not exactly solid confirmation of an upcoming collab, Ocean has previously teased a cover of SZA’s CTRL single “The Weekend”, posted in an Instagram story back in January 2019. The song also featured at one of the singer’s PrEP+ clubnights. SZA has drawn plenty of big-name collaborators in the past, too. Teasing her much-delayed follow-up to CTRL in 2019, she revealed she’d hit the studio with the likes of Jack Antonoff, Brockhampton, and Post Malone. In 2020, she dropped a new song, “The Other Side“, with Justin Timberlake. Whether a Frank Ocean cover will ever materialise remains to be seen.
