With the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, just around the corner, HBO Max has shared the first full trailer, expanding on the short teaser that was released on November 12.
The new preview seems to reveal that Carrie Bradshaw et al are still married — for now — and particularly highlights the relationship between Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr Big (Chris Noth), who are seen getting nostalgic about their life together.
Big isn’t all Carrie reminisces about in the trailer, though, as she also spends time discussing whether she’s ever masturbated in a public place on her podcast with Che Diaz, the non-binary comic and podcaster played by Sara Ramíez. (“Not since Barney’s closed,” she replies.)
Of course, we also get another sneak peek at the questionable looks we’ll be served in And Just Like That, in the absence of legendary SATC costume designer Patricia Field, who was apparently too busy with Emily In Paris season two to work on the reboot.
As you probably already know, Kim Cattrall’s PR exec Samantha Jones won’t be returning in the forthcoming series either, prompting rumours earlier this year that the character would be killed off (spoiler alert: she’s not — she’s just jetted off to London). Kristin Davis will return as Samantha, however, alongside Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), Mario Cantone, Evan Handler, David Eigenberg, and Willie Garson, who sadly passed away back in September.
The 10-episode series will premiere on HBO Max on December 9, with new episodes released weekly until February 2022. Watch the new trailer below.
