Dutch artists Maarten Kolk and Guus Kusters’ piece made of brown felt moulded into a body of a bird stuffed with newspaper was the starting point for the collection which likewise used felt and newspaper as a print to be made up into familiar A.F. Vandevorst silhouettes. Wrapped up jackets with high neck collars along with fur stoles and tightly buttoned shirts added a stern severity with vague nods to 18th century court jackets as the backs revealed flared out bustles.
