Including Rosalía in Hood By Air, Harry Styles in frills, and Playboi Carti as a thot
With lockdown restrictions meaning we barely leave our homes and the biting cold temperatures meaning that, when we do, we’re wrapped up like burritos, it hasn’t been the most inspiring week to flex our fashion muscles and show off our best sartorial stylings to the world. Luckily for us, the celebs aren’t bound by the laws of temperature and lazy day hoodies like the rest of us and have continued to do their bit for fashion.
This week saw Cardi B show off in some fire Balenciaga slime green boots while Rosalía and Vivienne Westwood stayed warm in their best winter coats.
Dua Lipa cosplayed as Shane McCutcheon in Dion Lee, while Sydney Carlson rocked the sweater vest trend and Harry Styles rolled his eyes at everyone who thinks men can’t wear dresses.
Check out the gallery below for the best looks of the week, featuring Arca, Duckie Thot, Kim Gordon, and more.

DORIAN ELECTRA
Pop singer Dorian Electra bringing us a crossover we never knew we wanted with this sexy pirate meets Daisy Duke look. To recreate it for yourself, all you’ll need is a billowy white shirt, a black corset that laces up at the front, and your best pair of denim cut offs. Moustache non-optional.

SYDNEY CARLSON
Sweater vests have emerged as 2020’s unlikely hot new trend. The once staid fashion staple has been given a sexy upgrade as we can see on Sydney Carlson who wears her green and blue argyle vest with leather trousers and leopard bag and nothing underneath. Here she is posing in front of a selection of Pokémon memorabilia. God knows why.

ROSALÍA
Rosalía braved the biting New York winter cold with the help of this oversized Hood By Air coat. The singer added black trousers and a black face mask for a monochrome look, as well as this season’s big hair trend, mini braids framing the face.

KIM GORDON
Posing in front of David Hammons African-American Flag artwork, Kim Gordon paired a black bandana face mask with her Make Techno Black Again hat. Part of a project between Brooklyn-based fashion brand HECHA / 做 and creative agency Grit, the merch aims to draw attention to the Black origins of techno and its roots in cities like Detroit.

DUA LIPA
Would it be a Best Looks without an appearance from Dua Lipa? Here the singer rocks an all black look from Dion Lee’s SS21 collection. This may be my lesbian showing but I’m pretty sure Shane wore this exact look in the opening episode of the L Word. Tell me I’m wrong.

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD
To receive her Spirit of Everywoman Award, Vivienne Westwood wrapped up warmly, layering up two pastel hooded-coats and adding some shearling-lined boots. To finish the look, Westwood added a red winged eyeliner and matching red lip. Thanking the organisers for the award, Westwood took the opportunity to warn against climate change and issue a call of action to the world.

PLAYBOI CARTI
Playboi Carti stars in Givenchy’s new campaign – the first under creative director Matthew Williams who joined the house in June. Wearing a white mesh vest, pink jeans, a thick gold chain belt and an ANTIGONA crossbody bag, the rapper gives us his best thot poses.

CARDI B

DEVON LEE CARLSON
Devon Lee Carlson posted this throwback look from her cameo in Rainsford’s “Oh My God” video. Styled by Janet Gomez, the model sported a full denim look complete with a Leopard print Dior saddle bag, strappy heels Raye and dewy skin. Hot Stuff.

HARRY STYLES
Last month, Harry Styles appeared on the cover of US Vogue wearing a frothy pale blue Gucci gown. The move inexplicably infuriated right-wingers everywhere who demanded a return to manly men. In response to the outrage, Styles doubled down on the frills with a chic Palomo Spain powder-blue suit with a white pleated shirt.

WUZG00D
Alani Figueroa AKA influencer Wuzg00d is embracing sweater weather with open arms in this autumnal 70s look, pairing green flares with an oversized flower knit, oversized Gucci tortoiseshell sunglasses and an orange bandana.

ARCA
Another fire look from Arca this week as she styles Salem merch with a black leather Ninamounah FW20 skirt, Prada leggings and Miista boots. As if that wasn’t enough, she is currently sporting bleached brows and old school-scene red extensions which she has matched to her tiny bag and blood red nails.

STEVE LACY
Musician Steve Lacy is giving us the cosy lockdown inspiration we need with this furry tie-dye jumper to curl up in on cold winter days. Here he styles it with a red bandana and a soul-searching gaze.

ROWAN BLANCHARD
The look was kitsch cam-girl for Rowan Blanchard this week. Wearing a red wig pinned back on either side of her face, she complemented the hair with red lips and retro red leopard print lingerie. And then proceeded to pose up a storm.

CHINQPINK
Just because we’re all wearing trackies at the moment doesn’t mean they can’t be chic as model Chinqpink proves. Here she is showing off Parris Goebel’s new unisex fashion label, Runaway Motel in her signature pink, of course.

CHARLI XCX
This colourful look from Collina Strada feels particularly bright and sunny during these grey December days. Charli XCX wore this look from the brand’s SS21 collection, pairing the yellow and pink plaid skirt with a yellow top, blazer, and neon orange windbreaker. Matching make-up and hair accessories finished off the look.

DUCKIE THOT
The Fashion Awards going virtual to necessitate the pandemic doesn’t mean we missed out on the fashion. Duckie Thot was a vision in orange in a glittering Tony Ward couture gown which she wore with long black gloves and a diamond ring the size of a small planet.

INTERNET GIRL
Internet Girl AKA Bella McFadden is channelling retro baby doll with this pale pink tutu dress, lace fingerless gloves, striped stockings, and platform heels. Rounding out the look is her nostalgic waved bob and nails that could literally kill a man.
