Designed by creative director Antonio Bandini Conti, Febe just dropped its debut collection centred around overalls. Describing his process of design as a “constant metamorphosis of ideas and creativity through atmospheres, colours and shapes”, Bandini Conti explains to us how he drew inspiration from a trip to the Andes for his AW19 collection. “I was fascinated by the proportions of their traditional costumes, prints, and colours,” he says. “All of this was translated into our collection’s main pattern and into the colour palette that came to life from the colours of their landscapes.” The collection varies from more traditional cotton styles to bustier-like overalls made from eco-leather. Other looks include overalls made from silk with dark red, blue, and mustard Aztec prints. The inner linings of the bibs are printed to enable the looks to be worn with a lowered front, creating an overall which, in Bandini Conti’s words can be worn “with authenticity, all day and all night, from the streets to the gala.” This is highlighted via the collection images that see models wearing the looks styled to look more dressed down in t-shirts and others more sophisticated, with patent leather kitten heels.
