At a London pop-up over the weekend, chaos ensued as hordes of people attempted to get their hands on the movie merch, knocking down the metal barriers and fighting one another, all in the name of a viral jacket. Created in collaboration with Timothée Chalamet’s stylist Taylor McNeill, A24 and Doni Nahmias (of Nahmias), the sports jacket has quickly become one of the most coveted fashion items of 2025. So far, it has been seen on Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kid Cudi, Tom Brady and of course, Chalamet himself. Photo by Ishika Samant/Getty Images Now, during his London press tour, Timmy has given us a list of British icons he’d like to see wear the infamous jacket. In an interview with the BBC’s Colin Paterson, the actor was asked what Brits he thought would be “worthy” of wearing a Marty Supreme jacket. Chalamet responded with: “Lewis Hamilton, Victoria and David [Beckham], Fakemink… Susan Boyle.” His reasoning? “She dreamt bigger than all of us. Who wasn’t moved by that? I remember that like it was yesterday. That was like the advent of YouTube.” It’s surreal to think that the singer’s 2009 Britain’s Got Talent audition – in which she famously covered “I Dreamed A Dream” from Les Misérables – could have reached the then 13-year-old actor. But Chalamet continues to prove that he’s somewhat chronically online (take those EsDeeKid rumours, which he is happy to indulge). You might not think that Susan Boyle, the 64-year-old Scottish singer, has much in common with the young Hollywood star – lest we forget, Lil Timmy Tim was a revered stage performer himself.
