Just last month Cardi B announced her plans to launch her own range of hair care products to “educate” people about Afro-Latina hair, and now the rapper has taken the first step towards launching her own beauty brand. Last week, Cardi filed to trademark “Bardi Beauty” covering make-up, fragrance, skincare and hair and nail products. There’s no word yet on what products the brand will be focusing on, but if the likes of Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Lady Gaga are anything to go by, Bardi Beauty could well encompass both make-up and skincare. Cardi first teased the possibility of a make-up brand back in 2019. Asked in an interview with Entertainment Online if her beauty line was coming soon, she laughed and responded “very”. In 2018, Tom Ford released a blue-hued lipstick named after the rapper which sold out in two days. In the intervening years, she has shared a number of DIY recipes for homemade skincare. When a follower asked how to do self-care when you’re broke, Cardi replied with a few tips and tricks on what you can do on a minimal budget. “Sis you don’t gotta have money for this… you can do facials with honey, olive oil, flat, curl your own hair, scrub your body with sugar, coffee, and oil.” Revisit our review of Kylie Skin here to find out if these celebrity beauty products are actually any good.
