This month we're inviting our favourite visionaries in fashion, music, art and design to guest edit Dazed Digital
Throughout August, Dazed Digital has been handing over the editor's chair to four visionary protagonists who each guest edit the site for a week. For the next five days one of Dazed & Confused's favourite models, Marte Mei van Haaster, will be sharing the things close to her.
SUMMER TAKEOVER SO FAR:
Earlier this month, musician and Meltdown 2012 curator Antony Hegarty took the first turn, pushing his Future Feminism agenda (click here for parts one and two) and shining the spotlight on the stars of the festival, from Planningtorock and Buffy Sainte-Marie, to Cyclobe and Charles Atlas.
The British artist who rose to prominence with the YBAs, Gavin Turk, followed, sharing The House of Fairy Tales with us, his obsession with the evil eye, a gallery of found art, new talent Toby Christian and explaining all about YBA politics, exhibiting internationally and sticking his face on that Che Guevara portrait in our Q&A.
We continued with London-based fashion heroes Meadham Kirchhoff bringing us angst and (dishevelled) glamour for 5 days, beginning with a Courtney Love-heavy Youtube playlist featuring the Michael Clark Company, Daisy Chainsaw, Leigh Bowery on Gilbert's Late and Huggy Bear on The Word. The boys recommended us the UK rebirth of Oz Magazine, illusive Meyercord cutie decals, Beth Siveyer's Girls Get Busy zine and selecting arch purist Lee Roach as a rising talent too, closing with commentary on 5 key looks from their archive.
Finally one of Dazed's favourite faces (and keen amateur photographer), Marte Mei van Haaster shared her Exit festival documentary with us, revealed her obsession with pattern, enthused about the work of Viviane Sassen, gave an alternative Amsterdam city guide and compiled the ten looks she wants to live in this A/W12.
