You can now track the exact location of environmental activist Greta Thunberg as she sets sail across the Atlantic Ocean to attend the UN Climate Action Summit in New York next month. The live tracker can be found on the ship Malizia II’s official website here, and displays everything from Greta’s movements to the strength and direction of wind currents. The 16-year-old – who recently called out Donald Trump for not taking climate change seriously – embarked on her journey yesterday on a zero emission sailing boat, powered by solar panels and underwater turbines. She will be sailing for two weeks, along with her dad, Svante, and a filmmaker. After attending the UN Summit, Thunberg will kick off her climate demo tour across America before attending the UN climate conference in Santiago, Chile, in December via train and bus. We are on our way! Leaving Plymouth and heading for New York.
