Fresh from her Glastonbury debut over the weekend, on Tuesday the Cuban-American singer partnered with BACARDÍ Rum to host the ultimate launch party. Hosted in London, the event celebrated the new album, as well as Cabello and BACARDÍ Rum’s new partnership honouring their shared love for Caribbean culture. “I'm beyond excited to be partnering with Bacardí. I’ve always thought of BACARDÍ as the quintessential rum brand,” Cabello explained, speaking on the collaboration. “To me, BACARDÍ is synonymous with the spirit of the Caribbean and, of course, good cocktails and a great party. The campaign we worked on is unlike any project I’ve done before. I can’t wait for fans to experience it.” Below we break down what went down. IT TOOK PLACE AT THE BOX Camila CabelloCourtesy of Bacardí Taking place in the iconic Soho nightclub, The Box, guests enjoyed a live performance of songs from her brand new album – which features the likes of Playboi Carti, Drake and Lil Nas X. CAMILA DEBUTED A BRAND NEW COCKTAIL Joelle Saul and Daisy LoweCourtesy of Bacardí As part of her BACARDÍ Rum partnership, Cabello has worked on a brand new cocktail. Titled ‘I Luv It’, after the first single from the album, the cocktail is a fun twist on a classic rum punch cocktail. During the launch event, guests enjoyed a first taste of the cocktail. “It’s my personal twist on a rum punch, with some of my favourite ingredients, including BACARDÍ, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, passion fruit, lime, and coconut water,” Cabello explained, speaking on the cocktail. “Knowing the vibe of the campaign, I wanted this cocktail to remind people of a perfect Miami night, going dancing around the city with friends. The event also marked the next step of the popstar’s global partnership with BACARDÍ Rum, which was initially announced in April, which sees Camila star as the new face of the brand with the launch of its latest Do What Moves You campaign which invites her fans to celebrate the joy of rum through music and dancing.
