Directed by fashion photographer (and Jesus Is King collaborator) Nick Knight, the music video incorporates footage from the rapper’s second listening event for the album, which saw him ascend above Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz stadium as the climax to a spiritual performance directed by Demna Gvasalia. The “24” visuals actually take Ye’s symbolic ascension one step further, seeing him float through computer-generated clouds that disappear into a digital void toward the end of the track. Donda finally arrived last month after numerous delays, boasting features from Jay-Z, the Weeknd, Jay Electronica, Young Thug, Pop Smoke, Pusha T, Travis Scott, and Kid Cudi (as well as more controversial appearances from Marilyn Manson and DaBaby). Earlier this month, West also shared a video for the track “Come to Life”. That incorporated scenes from his third and final listening event in Chicago, including his self-immolation inside a replica of his childhood home, and Kim Kardashian’s appearance in a bridal look from Gvasalia’s first Balenciaga couture collection.
