In response to a fan question about her Dawn of Chromatica rework on Twitter, the Miss Anthropocene musician says that it still hasn’t been finished, jokingly pinning some of the blame on executive producer BloodPop. “(BloodPop) and I have sibling rivalry issues and our immaturity lead (sic) to the song not being completed,” she writes. “Also he’s mad at me for taping a picture of myself above his bed and when he removed the picture the tape ripped off the paint. He shud have left it.” Bloodpop himself continues the thread, writing: “Not completed as in not started, she was too busy making TikToks about the silence of mimes??? Very weird IMO — also it actually left serious dry wall damage as she used duck tape.” Besides offering to “literally re-paint” BloodPop’s wall, Grimes responds: “U never sent me the track to start! U just said scream in mic and send with no music behind — that makes no sense!” Despite not getting a Grimes collab on Lady Gaga’s remix record, we are set to hear versions of tracks from a range of hyperpop-adjacent names, including Arca, Ashnikko, Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama, A. G. Cook, Shygirl, Dorian Electra, Bree Runway, and more. Take a look at the full tracklist below. Grimes has also recently taken to TikTok to ask fans to stop “harassing” her due to her relationship with SpaceX billionaire Elon Musk. “I am not my bf’s spokesperson,” she says, though she does follow that up with a list of his achievements, playing on the app’s “Is he hot or...” trend. Appropriately, the musician’s next album is set to be a “space opera” about a “lesbian AI romance” (it just won’t be set on Planet Chromatica, presumably). Lady Gaga’s Dawn of Chromatica remix album will arrive on September 3. @bloodpop@lsdxoxo_@coucou_chloe@arca1000000@rinasawayama@clarenceclarity@pabllovittar@charli_xcx@agcook404@ashnikko@0800shygirl@mura_masa_@dossxoxo@dorianelectra@chesterlockhart@moodkillermusic@liltexas@planningtorock@breerunway@jimmyedgar@hauslabspic.twitter.com/zziMPbfMfU— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) August 30, 2021Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREInside Erika de Casier’s shimmering R&B universe ‘Rap saved my life’: A hazy conversation with MIKE and Earl SweatshirtVanmoof8 Dazed Clubbers on the magic and joy of living in Berlin7 essential albums by the SoulquariansIs AI really the future of music?Ray Ban MetaIn pictures: Jefferson Hack launches new exhibition with exclusive eventplaybody: The club night bringing connection back to the dancefloorAn interview with IC3PEAK, the band Putin couldn’t silenceFrost Children answer the dA-Zed quizThe 5 best features from PinkPantheress’ new remix albumMoses Ideka is making pagan synth-folk from the heart of south LondonBehind-the-scenes at Oklou and FKA twigs’ new video shoot
