Posting the cover artwork on Instagram, the newly-platinum blonde artist wrote: “This is my favorite thing I’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it. I can’t even tell you. I’ve never felt so much love for a project than I do for this one. Hope you feel what I feel. Alsoooo new song out Thursday at 9AM too!!” Happier Than Ever is due to drop on July 30 and, like Eilish’s debut album, features no outside songwriters or producers. It was written by her and her brother Finneas, who produced the album in LA. The 19-year-old yesterday posted a 15-second clip of the forthcoming single, where she can be heard singing: “When I’m away from you / I’m happier than ever…” Earlier in the year, Billie revealed she’d been recording an album in lockdown. “I made an album,” she said during a Late Show appearance, “and I don’t think I would have made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for COVID.” “That doesn’t mean it’s about COVID at all,” she continued, “it’s just that, when things are different in your life, you’re different. That’s just how it is. So, I have to thank COVID for that, and that’s about it.” TRACKLIST “Getting Older” “I Didn’t Change My Number” “Billie Bossa Nova” “my future” “Oxytocin” “GOLDWING” “Lost Cause” “Halley’s Comet” “Not My Responsibility” “OverHeated” “Everybody Dies” “Your Power” “NDA” “Therefore I Am” “Happier Than Ever” “Male Fantasy” Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREParris Goebel is creating the music she wants to dance toPxssy Palace are ‘rewriting what freedom looks like’The house party isn’t dead, according to a new reportWatch: JT on Ariana Grande, Miami and marrying Lil Uzi Vert7 musicians who had their secret identities exposed‘Mixtapification’: Why is everything a mixtape now?K-pop group RIIZE on the dark side of success: ‘Fame isn’t everything’Dream pop artist Absolutely is in a world of her ownLove Muscle is the beating heart of Leeds’ queer nightlife sceneAn introduction to Awful Records in 5 tracksWhy are MP3 players making a comeback? In pictures: 2hollis shuts down the takt after party in Berlin
