Popping up on social media, the posters seemingly reveal the record’s title – Daddy’s Home – as well as its scheduled May 14 release date. “Who’s your daddy?” reads the advert, beside a picture of the musician (real name Annie Clark). “St. Vincent is back with a record of all-new songs. Warm Wurlitzers and wit, glistening guitars and grit, with sleaze and style for days. Taking you from uptown to downtown with the artist who makes you expect the unexpected. So sit back, light up, and by all means have that bourbon waiting, because… Daddy’s Home.” In a separate tweet posted February 24, Clark enigmatically writes: “Nothing to see here.” The latest St. Vincent LP, titled MASSEDUCTION, was released back in 2017. Since then, she’s also produced new music for Sleater-Kinney and hosted a podcast from her shower. In December last year, she first teased that a new album is on the way, tweeting: “The rumors are true. New record ‘locked and loaded’ for 2021. Can’t wait for you to hear it.” Take a look at the new Daddy’s Home campaign below. I’m so happy! 😭 finally new St. Vincent music!
