Shower Sessions sees alternative pop star Annie Clark chat with emerging artists in what’s being billed as “half interview, half concert series, 100 per cent in a bathroom”. Clark says that she had the idea before people started isolating in their homes due to the coronavirus pandemic. Her desire was to interview rising artists in a way that felt intimate without requiring a serious studio. She settled on the shower, as bathrooms are often used by musicians on a budget to replicate the acoustics of a vocal booth in a professional recording studio. When we filmed Shower Sessions in partnership with @Progressive, it was a little less ordinary to film in a bathrobe in the shower. Now we’re on par with late night talk shows.
