There comes a point, though, when things have to stop, like when you find an “obsessed fan” naked in your hot tub and/or your very own bedroom. Which is why Charli filed a restraining order this week, according to Paper (August 3). Apparently, a stalker – the aforementioned “obsessed fan” – tried to access her home twice last week (August 24 and 25), and the second time he stripped off and got in the hot tub, as well as walking in and out of the bedroom. Though Charli wasn’t actually home at the time, the incident was caught on security cameras, and subsequently led to the arrest of the visitor from Wisconsin. Court filings also reveal that he had previously sent hundreds of obsessive and disturbing messages via social media. The temporary restraining order has now been granted, meaning the fan is legally obligated to stay at least 100 yards away from the musician, her home, her car, and her workplace. The Daily Mail also noted that Charli XCX had put her Hollywood Hills home on the market September 1, although it’s unclear whether the stalker is connected to the sale. Obviously, it should go without saying, but in case anyone needs to hear it: pop stars have boundaries just like the rest of us, so don’t go stripping off and jumping in their hot tub.
