Published with Z2 Comics, the book coincides with the virtual band’s 20 year anniversary. As for the contents of the book, readers can apparently expect new artwork – including the first official comic strip to feature the band’s core members – plus puzzles, games, and appearances from collaborators across Gorillaz’ career. The Gorillaz Almanac will also include a CD of music from season one of their recent Song Machine project. Recently, Gorillaz founder Damon Albarn performed alongside his animated counterpart, 2-D, for the first time in a one-off, socially-distanced duet over Zoom. The band’s guitarist, Noodle, also recently read May’s horoscopes for Dazed.
