Announced last week and broadcast last night (March 1), the show included music by Caroline Polachek, Vangelis, The Postal Service, Aphex Twin, and more. Writing on Twitter before the broadcast, Grimes described the show as a “psychedelic experience”. On-air, she said the theme for the week’s episode was “sci-fi baby, or weird science fiction and electronic music for babies”. It follows the recent release of her new album, Miss Anthropocene. Grimes’s show is part of a new slate of residencies on the radio station. Other resident DJs include Sherelle, Eris Drew & Octo Octa, and Caribou, among others. Listen back to the show at BBC Sounds.
