In the update, she says: “this whole thing has been a bit of an ordeal,” before going on to reflect on the difficulties she’s faced and how they’ve affected working on her forthcoming album. “Had some complications early on, a decent second trimester but starting to hurt everywhere at 25 wksz (sic),” she writes, before addressing pregnancy more generally, and how more discourse on the topic might make it easier to deal with: “I feel like I was woefully ill prepared cuz I dunno if pregnancy is as visible or discussed as it should be.” “I just didn’t rly understand what I was getting into.” She does also say that it’s been “good too”, but that “anything physical is hard” and that she’s “way more emo and less capable of bravery in the face of haters online and stuff”. This partly accounts for her relatively small presence on social media recently, despite her forthcoming album, Miss Anthropocene, which is slated to release later this month (February 21). Read the full update below. Ahead of the album, Grimes has also recently unveiled a “de-aged digital clone” called WarNymph, which has a presence across multiple social media platforms.
