Unfortunately, it seems that fans were a bit too eager to get in, as a stampede before the gates officially opened caused three people to be hospitalised. The stampede itself is pretty clear to see in a video posted to Travis Scott’s Instagram, with the caption: “RAGERS SET TONE WHEN I COME OUT TONIGHT. BE SAFE RAGE HARD.” After crowd barriers fall, thousands of people begin running into the grounds and it’s pretty easy to see how some got trampled. The festival itself sold out despite only unveiling headline acts the day before (November 8). These included Rosalía, Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug, Migos, Marilyn Manson, and of course Travis Scott himself, among others. During his set, Travis Scott brought out surprise guest Kanye West, who performed “Follow God” off the newly-released Jesus Is King. Kanye also released a video for the song on Friday.
