In the latest issue of Dazed we've got a mammoth 26 page literature section featuring 11 original short stories by our favourite young authors. We've already uploaded a mixtape of the songs that inspired them – be warned, it's pretty random (big shout out to Billy Bragg and Cher!) – so I thought this month's Dazed Digital playlist should be packed with 35 new (and a couple of old) songs that we've been listening to while piecing the issue together. Put it on while you read them and see if it enhances the experience... or not. As ever, let us know what you think. Also don't forget to enter our short story competition. We're looking for original pieces of fiction between 700-1000 words long that are inspired by your favourite song lyrics. Email them to feedyourhead@dazedgroup.com. Deadline is Monday July 2nd and the winner gets published in Dazed & Confused magazine. Get writing! twitter.com/TimNoakes Artwork by Lucy Nurnberg Escape the algorithm!
