The album features local Congolese musicians like Jupiter and the Okwess International, Nelly Liymge and Bokatola System, as well as more established producers such as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Marc Antoine and Dan The Automator, as devised by Damon Albarn. Recorded in Kinshasa, in the Democratic in Congo, the aim of the album was to promote contemporary Congolese musicians, allowing DRC Music and local artists/performers to create new, innovative tracks. The album artwork comes from Aitor Throup and Hardy Blechman, available in a deluxe vinyl edition including exclusive art cards inspired by the project. All proceeds from the album will go towards helping those affected by the humanitarian crisis and conflict in Congo. All money raised from sales will be donated to humanitarian efforts by Oxfam.
