A remix that anchors Absolut’s new global campaign, Born to Mix: World of Absolut Cocktails. In a mini film, Tres’ reimagining of the 90s R&B anthem sets the scene for an energetic campaign packed with dancers from around the world, each coming together to interpret Absolut’s most iconic cocktails through their own dance styles. “Remaking a classic like ‘Free Your Mind’, I was very sceptical at first because it’s such a good song and a legendary song,” Tres explains. “But once I got my feelings out, the next best thing to do was go to the studio and free my mind. It was a good exercise for me.” Absolut has long been more than just a vodka brand. Since its 1979 launch, it has continuously championed creativity in varying forms. Its Born to Mix series takes that notion to the next level, celebrating the idea that mixing isn’t just for drinks, but for people, movement, and creative expression. With this new chapter, Absolut leans into movement as a universal language, pairing the art of mixology with the art of dance to show how individuality and community come together. “When I see people dancing to my music. I feel like I'm doing my job. I always wanted to be a channel for good things and good music,” Tres adds. Choreographed by Shay Latukolan, we see the dancers partake in a dance battle before joining forces for the finale. Below, the dancers and Tres give us a behind-the-scenes look into what went into creating the campaign, how each person embodied the energy of a different Absolut classic cocktail and why movement is at the centre of creative expression.
