The group’s name started to trend on Twitter shortly after, with fans speculating everything from reissues of old music to new material and a reunion tour. The trio previously caught up in May ahead of the release of Michelle Williams’ new book, Checking In: How Getting Real about Depression Saved My Life – and Can Save Yours. In an audio clip posted to Williams’ Twitter, Beyoncé can be heard saying: “I’m cooking some music.” The singer recently confirmed this in a cover story for Harper’s Bazaar's September issue, where she stated: “Yes! New music is coming.” “I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies,” she said. “Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years-old.” While there hasn’t been any official news surrounding a Destiny’s Child release, Beyoncé’s recent Tiffany ambassadorship and her new Ivy Park collection hint that exciting things are on the horizon.
