The new collection from Hyde S.K. designed by Sacha Knight draws on her inspirations from a strong interest in American Indians and Shamanism.

Speaking on the collections Knight says, “I’ve spent a few summers in Palmdale, the Mojave Desert in California and Arizona where I researched the ‘North American Indians’ as inspirations for my collections. Much of my work today has a twisted American Indian feel (hand-finishing, beadwork and raw natural edges) with a touch of Gothic (studs and metalwork) and then finally a dusting of 70s America (unusual juxtaposed colour combinations, braiding and tassels)”. Other themes that occasionally pop up in her prints are skulls, camouflage, early 70s rock, or Punk and Metal influences. Having disliked studying Fashion at The Surrey Institute of Art and Design London, Knight started by making items for friends and selling for The Duffer of Saint George and has since hand-produced bags for Paul Smith Paris menswear shows and sold limited collections in his stores in Japan and London.

Also having been involved with Jessica Ogden, PAM, and APC, Knight’s recent collections have been made from 'Lorica’ which is an animal friendly leather alternative, a strong, lightweight, breathable material invented in Japan and developed in Italy where the material is dyed and tumbled.
