Since then some changes seem to have been made, but now more details have been offered (and yes, Margiela is still involved). Firstly, there seems to have been a name change; an Instagram has popped up for the film, but it’s now titled Margiela In His Own Words. The first post on said Instagram reads: “Finalizing the edit of the Martin Margiela documentary.” The post also gives details of who’s worked on the doc, meaning that we know Reiner Holzemer is still directing, with London film company Dogwoof overseeing the release. There will also be music from belgium-based band dEUS. Of course, there’s already a lot of buzz about a film featuring Margiela – he’s been out of the public eye for years, apart from working on a Margiela exhibition in Paris early last year – but there’s still no concrete release date (though last year the producers said it was slated for a 2019 release). “More news soon,” reads the film’s Instagram.
