Time and time again it has been reinvented turning it from drab to fab. First, Christopher Kane covered the controversial shoe in crystals, then Demna Gvasalia elevated it to new heights via platform versions debuting at Balenciaga’s SS18 show. There was even a high-heeled version that sold out instantly. Now, LA-based brand PizzaSlime has set the bar even higher (or lower?!), turning the shoe into a bag. A bag. Not a crossbody, but a Crocsbody. Fortunately, the shoe slash bag – or shag (?) – has only been made in a limited run of 50 and you could be one of the (un)lucky few for $300. Created in both yellow and black, the bag features charms that can be affixed to the air holes like the Balenciaga version. According to the brand, they went “waaaaay outside of the box for this one,” turning the Croc into a functional bag. We’d like to question exactly how functional. We know we said tiny bags were so hot right now – and then also alternatively oversized bags – but we’re not really sure what you’d fit in your Crocsbody. Maybe all your friends? (Spoiler alert: it’ll be none if you buy it). Want one of your own? Head here, and then please immediately hand yourself into the nearest police stations for crimes against humanity.
