The Donna Karan iPhone application, having been designed in partnership with Atimi Software, was launched today to coincide with her A/W 09 collection delivery.Since the inception of her company in 1985, Karan has always enjoyed a strong, personal connection with her consumer. The bond began in dressing rooms, where Karan helped women dress more confidently and the iPhone application is Karan’s natural progression in her desire to keep the dialogue going.Regularly updated sections will include Donna's journal, where Karan shares her thoughts, giving insight of the woman beyond the runway to Donna Karan loyalists. Karan will also be giving tidbits such as her favourite book or exhibition, the people that inspire her with the pianist Eric Lewis being the first featured person (Lewis performed live at the Donna Karan A/W 09 show). Through the app, you can ask Karan questions about clothes or otherwise. In Proust-like style, Karan will also be speaking to people she admires with the launch subject being Iman. Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREMasters of Light: The history of Hollywood in six Swarovski iconsIn pictures: See the best dressed stars at the 2025 CFDA Awards vansVans invites misfits home for the holidays From the archive: Remembering Antwerp Six designer Marina YeeWhat went down at The North Face x Cecilie Bahnsen collection launchNo one is doing red carpet fashion like Teyana Taylor‘Gay Halloween’ is back – here are this year’s standout looksMartine Rose ups her game with a new Nike collabPut me in Chanel: The 25 best songs named after fashion brandsBianca Saunders teams up with the Tate for Blake-inspired collectionCult icon John Malkovich is the new face of JW AndersonShawna Wu’s designs loop and knot between past and present
