Yu Fujiwara captures the candid moments of London Fashion Week Men’s

Virgil Abloh at A-Cold-Wall*, skateboarders on The Strand, and lovers in queues

We’re coming to the end of yet another menswear season, with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Raf Simons, Maison Margiela, and Rick Owens down, and Dior Homme, Comme and Alyx still to come. For now, though, we’re asking you to cast your mind back just a couple of weeks ago to the opening leg of SS19: London.

As always, we sent our faithful documentarian Yu Fujiwara out onto the city’s streets to capture the chaos outside the shows. Renowned for his ability to see past the hype surrounding the season’s hottest sneakers (and more), the photographer instead trains his eye on the more unusual elements of the scene.

In amongst the leather and chain combo-styles, Burberry checked shirts, graphic printed tees, and the La Bomba hats that made up the London show-goers looks are images that capture a young couple kissing in the queue for a show, skateboarders hurtling down the strand, and smoking Mercedes-Benz drivers waiting patiently outside the venues for their passengers to pile out. Also spotted was Virgil Abloh, heading to ex-employee Samuel Ross's A-Cold-Wall* show on Brick Lane.

Keep an eye out for more from the streets of the SS19 menswear shows and head to the gallery above for the full selection.
