FashionNewsCamper recreates dorky 90s school portraits for new campaignFeaturing a guinea pig with a pompadourShareLink copied ✔️February 28, 2018FashionNewsTextHollie WilliamsonCamper SS188 Imagesview more + Since Romain Kremer was appointed creative director at Camper in 2014, the brand has become excitingly conceptual – surreal short films and ever more extravagant shoots are becoming the pièce de résistance of the footwear label. So, you’ll be glad to hear that the same tried and tested team who brought us creepy Willy Wonka and AW17’s cartoon caricatures – photographer Daniel Sannwald, maverick make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench and stylist Anna Trevelyan – were enlisted again to create the newly released SS18 campaign. This season, models have been dorkily done-up to feature in 90s-style school portraits, with each character assigned a different new shoe style to complement their look. The delightfully awkward diptychs unveil this season’s eight-strong line-up – three for women, two for men and three styles that are unisex – with statement soles, sports luxe and nods to retrofuturism predominating the collection. To top it off, the characters appear in a fun video, highlighting each of their characters – there’s even a guinea pig with a pompadour. Cool!
