Nothing is ever what it seems at Hodakova. The opening look of the brand’s AW26 show looked like any other long black waistcoat, paired with a chunky silver necklace and fur shawl. When the model turned around, however, you’d quickly notice that the waistcoat was completely backless, revealing bare skin and boxers, and on closer inspection, you’d realise that the chunky silver necklace was actually made from the heads of teaspoons, stuck together. Silver spoons are a favourite medium of Swedish designer Ellen Hodakova Larsson – in fact, she loves to use basically anything you’d find lying around at home.
