The shoot appears in full in Dazed’s 25th anniversary issue, alongside an interview by her friend Amandla Stenberg, which can be read here. Earlier in the year, the French house announced Willow as their newest ambassador, and she’s since starred in their eyewear campaign. It’s clearly an appointment which means a huge amount to Willow, who has been active in highlighting the exclusive nature of western beauty ideals. In her interview in Dazed’s autumn/winter issue, she told Amandla, “I need to give love and confidence to black girls... that’s why it’s so amazing that Chanel picked me to be their ambassador, because it stretches the ideals of beauty. And it stretches what other people think that Chanel thinks is beauty, and what society as a whole thinks is beauty.” Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREFashion’s Italian ‘Emperor’ Valentino Garavani has died Miuccia and Raf flipped the familiar at Prada AW26 men’s Dsquared2Dsquared2 turns up the Heated Rivalry at Milan Fashion WeekRick Owens and Juergen Teller make out for MonclerOoh Be Gah!
