Fashion / NewsWillow Smith is the new face of ChanelThe star features in the house’s new eyewear campaign shot by Karl LagerfeldShareLink copied ✔️June 27, 2016FashionNewsTextTed Stansfield In March this year, Karl Lagerfeld chose Willow Smith to be a new Chanel ambassador, an honour which only a select few – including Kristen Stewart and Lily-Rose Depp – share. Today, the young singer, songwriter and actress has been unveiled as the star of the house’s AW16 eyewear campaign, shot (as Chanel’s campaigns always are) by Lagerfeld himself. “Swathed in jewels from the Fall-Winter 2016/17 Ready-to-Wear collection, she breathes new energy into the world of Chanel eyewear,” a statement from the brand read. Lagerfeld met Smith in 2014, when he shot her for V magazine, and since then she’s sat on the front row at Chanel’s shows, including its AW16 show at Paris Fashion Week in March. Signed to The Society Management in New York and Elite Paris, this isn’t the star’s only notable campaign of late – she also featured in Marc Jacobs’ David Sims-shot AW16 campaign alongside Cher, Kim Gordon and Winona Ryder.
