For it, the house has pulled in some of the most legendary models working today – from Milla Jovovich, Sasha Pivovarova and Stella Tennant to Freja Beha Erichsen, Julia Nobis and Fei Fei Sun. They’ve also enlisted some (comparatively) new faces, including former Dazed cover stars Rianne Van Rompaey and Natalie Westling, and Kiki Willems who you may recognise from Marc Jacobs new campaign. The ad is one of the most abstract the house has done for a while – shots of the models are set against surreal, over-saturated images of the sky. As for the collection itself, this season Miuccia Prada explored the complexities of womanhood. With dresses, corsets, belts, garters, brassieres and high heels, the designer brought together both the restrictive and liberating elements of the feminine wardrobe – “The nature of women is complex and ineffable, read the show notes, “Like a Russian doll placed inside one another.” Watch Prada’s AW16 show below.
