Industrial beauty: Artistic Director Wu was inspired by architecture and industrial beauty for AW15 – focusing on sharp, controlled cuts, minimal decoration and borrowing “classic silhouettes from the timeless gentleman’s wardrobe.” Melange wool was melded with jersey to create a double-faced fabric in contrasting anthracite and vermillion, while raw edges and high collars highlighted the strict lines of equestrian-style tailoring. Solid panels of laser cut sequins and tubular beading caught the wintry daylight streaming into the space and added a much-needed touch of femininity to the collection, which was rife with trouser suits and tailored dresses. Killer casting: Edie Campbell, Julia Nobis, Anna Ewers – Wu cast a clan of the industry’s strongest faces to lead the charge for AW15.
