Secret gardens: The setting for Ermenegildo Zegna AW15 felt like a prehistoric woodland, with the runway surrounded by walls of soil. The brand was going back to nature, but with their own history in mind – the showspace was inspired by Oasi Zegna, the nature park surrounding the Zegna Wool Mill in Trivero, where the set will be replanted. Distant rumblings echoed around the space, joined by the sounds of animals and insects – and Jimi Hendrix. Into the wild: In an earthy khaki palette with accents of rust red, the models seemed like they were departing for the ultimate luxe safari. Muted checks and glossy exotic skins added to the uniquely tailored pieces, some of which shimmered with metallic thread, while straps and utilitarian rucksacks finished off the looks, readying the boys for whatever a return to the wilderness would bring.
