Did you know that 2026 marks 50 years since punk erupted in the UK? Or that the proprietor of punk, the late Vivienne Westwood, is currently being celebrated with a small exhibition in central London? Vivienne Westwood: An Active Life is now open at The Light House, Joe Corré’s four-storey shop in the heart of Soho that specialises in platforming bespoke, independent fashion brands.

The son of Westwood and Malcom McLaren, Corré has curated the exhibition alongside his daughter, activist Cora Corré, celebrity portrait photographer Ki Price, and life-long Westwood collector, Steven Philip. Inside, you’ll discover a spread of rare, unseen photographs of the fashion legend in action – in both her roles as an activist and a designer. It also includes several limited edition prints, which are on sale for the first time, with fifty per cent of all proceeds going to The Vivienne Foundation (the not-for-profit company dedicated to continuing Westwood’s legacy of environmental and social activism).

As the late designer once said: “I just use fashion as an excuse to talk about politics, because I’m a fashion designer, it gives me a voice.” It’s this sentiment that is carried throughout the exhibition, highlighting the intersection of Westwood’s work and personal, political mission. London Fashion Week might have been and gone, but there’s still time to pop to The Light House to get your fashion fix – but you better hurry up, as the exhibition runs until March 19.

Elsewhere this week, we waved goodbye to a mammoth fashion season. Since mid-January, the runway shows have been non-stop, until last night, when they came to a halt with Valentino’s dramatic AW26 show in Rome. Earlier this week, Chanel, Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton provided the PFW finale, meanwhile we noticed a few common trends: touching grass and masquerades, for example. Catch up with everything you missed from fashion month here, and keep reading for the news of the week.

SAUL NASH TAKES OVER THE V&A

If any fashion designer is well suited to the V&A’s annual Fashion in Motion showcase, it’s trained dancer Saul Nash. Last Friday (March 6), the British designer took over the museum with a specially commissioned performance, choreographed by Nash and accompanied by a live sound installation by Azekel. It featured eight dancers, who showcased how Saul Nash clothes are meant to be worn: in motion.
