It features the AW08 collection Utube Utopia where Carrie Mundane explored our protocols of information exchange through email, SMS, MySpace/Facebook and produced a series of four digital printed silk t-shirts. The tees provide the canvas for which an manipulated digital collage of YouTube footage, Google Images and online language (lol cats and MySpace comments) can be worn. The prints convey the idea that there exist both possibilities and dangers on the internet. At the Pitti Uomo event in Florence in June, Youtube star Patrick Jumpen who provided the music for the video, danced in front of the video making the jump from virtual to reality. The collection of t-shirts from Utube Utopia is exclusively available at Seven NYC.
