The Dazed 100 is back. Across four lists – Global, US, Asia and MENA – the Dazed community has curated a list of the most exciting emerging creatives and inspiring change-makers, including Mahmoud KhalilEsDeekid and Geese, footballer Michelle Agyemang, actor Chase Infiniti and Cortisa Star

When it comes to beauty, we’re spotlighting more people than ever before. Across make-up, hair, nails, tattoos and fragrance, these are the names and faces to follow so that you can stay up-to-date with what’s hot in beauty right now. There are SFX and airbrush artists like Loïs Hulin and Mab who are blurring the boundaries between reality and fantasy. Hairstylists like Ruby Howes, Matt Benns, Malcolm Marquez and John Novotny who are shaping the cultural aesthetic through their work with it-girls, including Gabbriette, Charli xcx, Chappell Roan and Doechii. While nail artists Maame Efuwa Aikins, Nikki Panic, Rachel Sun and Tahvya Krok turn manicures into sculptural masterpieces.

Beauty has had a strong representation throughout the history of Dazed 100. In its inaugural year, the list spotlighted make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench and hairstylist Alex Brownsell, who have gone on to become industry heavyweights. Since then, featured creatives from the beauty world have included Yadim, Thomas de Kluyver, Jawara and Cyndia Harvey. In 2020, hairstylist Evanie Frausto and make-up artist Ana Takahashi were among the beauty cohort, while 2021 alumni Valentina Li and Cécile Paravina were chosen by Chanel to be two of the three global creative make-up partners the following year.

2021 also saw Brazilian hairstylist and sculptor Janice Mascarenhas crowned the winner of the Dazed 100. With the $30,000 grant money, she created Anatomy of Diaspora, a short film that journeys through indigenous cultures and Afrofuturist ideas. In 2023, we spotlighted artists including Alona Sobolevska and Dee Carrion, who went on to go viral thanks to their collaborations with Doechii. While last year’s alum Andrew Dahling has continued to create bold looks with Chappell Roan and Tilda Mace with FKA twigs.
