Gucci Beauty’s new range gives your lips the colour and care they deserve

WHY SHOULD I CARE?

Full disclosure: I have never been big into serving lip looks. However, Gucci Beauty’s latest release – the Rouge de Beauté Brillant lipstick – might have changed that, forever.

Landing somewhere in-between a sheer and satin lipstick, the product has a specific focus on care, with a formula that is enriched with nourishing ingredients including Black Rose oil, Peony oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Karité Butter. The product glides onto your lips with ease thanks to its angled design and it immediately makes them feel moisturised with a distinct shine and subtle plumping courtesy of everybody’s fave: hyaluronic acid. I usually wear the product alone, but it can easily be paired with the brand’s Crayon Contour Des Lèvres lip liner if you’re looking to achieve a bolder look for a night out. But that’s not all! The range of lipsticks comes in 15 shades of delicate reds, pinks, and nudes to give your lips long-lasting colour all at the same time. My personal faves are 214 ‘Call It a Day’ and 412 ‘Princess Narah Rose’ as they’re more subtle for my complexion, but there are bolder options like 402 ‘Valentine Fuschia’ or the house’s classic 25* ‘Goldie Red’).
