Now Cardi’s make-up artist Erika La’ Pearl has shared the exact products that she used on the rapper so that you can recreate the soft pink look for yourself. (She also shared some behind-the-scenes images of Cardi wrapped up in an avocado toast blanket having her make-up done, if you’re interested.) Using almost exclusively Pat McGrath Labs products – including two exclusive yet-to-be-released products: the Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shine lipsticks and the Mthrshp Rose Decadence eyeshadow palette – Pat herself then stepped in and offered an even more in-depth breakdown on how to apply each product so you won’t be left in any doubt. You are in very safe hands. Start by prepping your skin with the Sublime Perfection Primer before applying your foundation. On Cardi, Erika used the Sublime Perfection Foundation in shades ‘Medium 15’, ‘Medium 17’, and ‘Medium 18’. Cover any imperfections and the under eye area if needed with the Sublime Perfection Concealer and then set with the Sublime Perfection Powder and Sublime Perfection Under-Eye Blurring Powder. Highlight the high points of the face using Skin Fetish Highlighter + Balm Duo with fingertips. Erika used the shade Golden on Cardi and then took the shade ‘Fuchsia Flame’ from the new Rose Decadence palette along the cheeks for blush. This same palette was used for the eyes as well. Take ‘Pink Champagne’ on the eyelid and to highlight the brow bone. Apply ‘Fuchsia Flame’ in the crease and blend to the outer tip of the brow bone, followed by ‘Hedonistic Rose’ in the outer crease. Take ‘Fuchsia Flame’ again and blend on the lower lash lash. To finish, line the lash line with Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner and extend outwards into a wing, and line the inner waterline with the PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil in the shade ‘Blk Coffee’. Lashes were the Ardell Remy lash 782 stacked with wispies, while brows came courtesy of Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in Dark brown along with clear brow gel. For the lips, Erika used PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in ‘Structure’ to line the lips followed by the new Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shine in ‘Nude Venus’. And there you have it! A perfect recreation of Cardi’s look. Erika also shared similar breakdowns of Cardi's snake scene look and her leopard look, so you have the entire video covered. Meanwhile, Megan has been giving us her own make-up tutorial as part of her new role as Revlon’s global brand ambassador. Revealing that it was her first ever time doing a tutorial, Megan took us through the icy blue smokey eye she rocked in her Revlon campaign images. “Just to warn y’all,” she says, “the way I do my make-up is not the typical way I feel like a lot of y’all’s favourite YouTube make-up artists be doing their stuff.” “I never really know what I’m about to come do to my face but we just kind of go as we go.” Escape the algorithm!
