The Room was a weird venture, centring on an explosive love triangle and some far flung subplots. And though it was dubbed “the worst movie ever made”, people really took to it – sold out screenings, midnight showings even today and a cult following like no other. Now, Wiseau and Sestero are back, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In the new trailer, Sestero stands in a bloody shirt, begging for money with a sign that reads: ‘Family kidnapped by ninjas, need $ 4 karate lesson”. It’s Wiseau who comes to his rescue, albeit in a hearse, to offer him a job. Getting to the mortuary, his ‘masterpiece’ is unveiled: a body (ofc). From there they get to flogging the gold teeth of the deceased. Best F(r)iends was reportedly filmed across August and September, but doesn’t have a release date just yet. James Franco is currently working on a project called The Masterpiece, which traces the cult classic’s creation. It’s based on the book by Sestero, who plays Mark, as well as journalist Tom Bissell, called The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room. Watch the trailer below.
